Our guiding vision

“With nature for people”- this is the fundamental idea guiding our work and teachings. Our graduates are capable to work in various professional fields in a flexible and open minded way and with regard to the conservation of natural resources. They become entrepreneurs, administrators, experts, consultants, managers or governmental officials in the fields of nature conservation and land use, agriculture, regional development, tourism, environmental education and public relations. Our teachings and research are focused on the regional level and on rural areas. Because of the versatility of our courses we offer interdisciplinary and holistic studies. This is also reflected by our cross-sectoral research approach. Due to the co-operation with regional partners the practical suitability of our research results is guaranteed and confirmed.
