Our vision

Tourism has the potential to help develop rural areas and other regions and to create income on different levels. Travelling can also provide people with new experiences and insights.

On the other hand, tourism consumes resources and can damage the environment. It may lead to cultural exploitation and social imbalance. Whether tourism’s positive or negative impacts prevail depends on how it is being planned, designed and managed. The key here is to find a balance between economics, the natural environment and social issues. We are fully aware of our responsibility for a world that is worth living and for future generations. Therefore, we support the development and promotion of sustainable tourism.

Sustainable tourism comprises all forms of travel that particularly contribute to …

  • the long-term economic success of tourism businesses and destinations,
  • the conservation of the natural environment and the diversity of cultures,
  • improving the quality of life and the active participation of local people,
  • promoting the desire to learn, explore and enjoy.

For tourism to be successful a balance of these factors is needed. Hence, sustainability is an integral part of tourism quality. To make this vision come true, we train the tourism managers of the future!

By the way, we follow the principles of sustainable development on our own trips. For example, if we have to use a plane for our business travels all members of the TourTeam compensate the greenhouse gases thus produced through the atmosfair programme.
