The post-graduate programme “Sustainable Tourism Management” started in September 2002 and has a duration of four semesters. This course of study unique in Germany enables post graduates to develop ecological and economic concepts for sustainable tourism and to act as connecting agents within complex networks. Candidates must be University graduates and have good knowledge of both German and English. The courses contents are: Tourism & the environment/ society, tourism economics, tourism marketing, sustainable destination management, sustainable business management, communication and tourism, Information Technology in tourism, ecotourism & protected area management.  Lectures are in German or English.
