Bridge2ERA: Cultivation and use of little-used tree species: Expansion of bio- and material diversity in forestry and timber industry under the aspect of climate change in cooperation with the Western Balkan countries

The wood research network in the Danube region established in the course of previous projects (SuProWood, DanubeWood) could be extended to forestry research issues with Bridge2ERA. In the region of Southeastern Europe, it was possible to focus on so far little-used wood species and to initiate the development of innovative wood processing methods and new applications and products on the basis of an expanded supply of raw materials.
