ZIM-Project "Multifunctional System Walls"

© HNEE Holzbetone

The aim of the research project at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development is to develop a innovative, multifunctional, modular system wall made of wood. The intention is to incorporate the wood chips ejected from the machining process into wall structures as an innovative and multifunctional functional layer in such a way that they are fixed, for example, by foaming.

Additional functions such as building physics, acoustic and fire protection properties are to be integrated. With the development results, a systemic production from materials arising in the production should be possible in own production. A holistic utilization of semi-finished and intermediate products arising in a company to products of higher added value will take place.
