STEP - scalable e-thermo parquet

Electric power is the right choice as the most effective form of energy for heating the floor in an apartment, in a vacation home, or for retrofitted space heating. But electrically heated floorings exist only as patent ideas. However there is no system on the market - only heatable foils can be placed under the floorings, making the heating sluggish and no longer energy efficient.


In the future the worldwide demand for electric heating with renewable energy sources will increase. The idea is to use the present R&D project STEP to develop a scalable, yet electrically temperature-controllable parquet that simplifies a complex surface heating concept and is in no way inferior to a high-quality laminate or parquet in terms of cost and user-friendliness.
