The University Library is a generally accessible service facility for the transfer of media and information within the university, which also welcomes external students
and other interested visitors. It provides media, workstations and equipment and supports users in their scientific work.
The services are mainly aimed at students, university professors and employees of the university.
Pandemic-related opening modalities of the University Library
During the opening times Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., the PC workstations in the carrels of the university library can be used to
work (after registering in advance by email to email@example.com). After submitting a 3G certificate (vaccinated, recovered, tested), As a general rule, you must wear a medical or FFP2 mask during your entire stay in the rooms of the university library, even when working in the carrels and at the 6 PC workstations that are available in the open access areas without prior registration.
Please note that an FFP2 mask must be worn when leaving the workplace.
At the same time, a maximum of 16 people (plus Carrel users) can stay in the rooms of the university library; access to the scanner and copier is permitted.
Payment of fees and new registrations are possible Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
External users have access to the university library again, university members have priority.
Please wear an FFP2 mask in our rooms! Keep in mind the applicable hygiene regulations and the minimum distance of 1.5 meters from other people!
Pay attention to the notes and markings when entering and leaving the library building!
Admission control takes place via a limited number of provided baskets, which are disinfected after each use.

All students and employees with an HNE account can also access licensed e-books, e-journals and databases from outside.
To do this, you must first log in via VPN.
Our e-books can be found in the OPAC or via Ebook Central.
Electronic journals can best be researched in the Electronic Journals Library (EZB).
