This mixture of organic materials with a modern touch minimizes timber consumption and lead time. The aim is to show contemporary but low-energy alternatives for cooking and living. In addition this project creates a space for get-togethers and events that add to the campus life. The Campusgarten team invites you to the daily workshop. Do-It-Yourself-afternoon: Take action and protect the climate!
The DIY-afternoon with several groups will be held on the city campus in house no. 4, room 101. The event will take place outdoors when the weather is good!
What | Who | Description |
Upcycling workshop | Upcycle old stuff and create new one! We show you what you can do with different parts of your old bike: Bycicle tubes and chains become key chains etc. We're open to new ideas - join our workshop and start tinkering!
Climate-friendly transportation | How far will you get by taking the car, plane or bus and using 1 kg CO2? The team of Projekt 2050 will show you the differences between these vehicles and how climate-friendly they are.
Check your bike | Take two old bikes and create a new one! If you think that your bike is beyond repair then this is where we come in. The tutors of the bike workshop can help you to repair damages on your bike with material from old ones. Donations are welcome and appreciated. That way all students that are short of money are able to visit our workshop, too.

Supermarket without product packaging | Forschungsprojekt der HNEE | Most people are annoyed with the amount of waste that one produces unintentionally every week by shopping and that grows to a huge pile of rubbish over the year.

Official opening of the campus donation box | For quite some time now students swap or give away their used but still usable clothes, books, etc. Not only resources and money are saved but it is also a fun thing to do! Throughout the Climate Protection Week in 2015 there has already been a campus donation box (Verschenkeschrank) at the Eberswalde University. And now it has finally happened: A permanent campus donation box was installed on the city campus! 4 p.m., between house no. 4 and no. 5.
Flee market: Swap or give away your stuff! |
| Too good for the trash bin? Things that are a waste of space for one person can be a sought-after item for others. A long-term use of products conserves resources and is more climate-friendly than the purchase of new ones. Bring along the stuff that you’d like to give away or swap. |
