The StartUpLabor Schwedt is an initiative of the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, LEIPA Group GmbH and PCK Raffinerie GmbH. We want innovative solutions to find their way to where the transition to a climate-neutral and circular industry is being shaped. To this end, we are creating an environment in which established companies, start-ups and science can work together on industrial change. We are convinced that Schwedt can develop into a model location for economic success and ecological responsibility.
Our goal
We want to offer start-ups a unique environment in which they can test and develop their ideas under real industrial conditions. To this end, we use the real transformation scenario in Schwedt to form a community of innovators, established companies and science that addresses key issues of industrial transformation using the location as an example. We want to use an open innovation approach to generate impetus for industrial transformation and at the same time put technologies into practice. We are convinced that Schwedt can develop into a model location for economic success and ecological responsibility.
That's why Schwedt!
Schwedt/Oder is the industrial centre in north-east Brandenburg, known for its strong tradition in mineral oil processing and paper production. But change is becoming increasingly important: the European "Green Deal" calls for climate neutrality by 2050 - for Schwedt, this means actively shaping the transition. As the end point of the Druzhba pipeline, the location is currently facing the challenge of reorganising its industrial base. This is an opportunity for us to turn Schwedt into a model for industrial transformation in which economic success and ecological responsibility go hand in hand. The StartUpLabor Schwedt supports this transformation by providing startups and industry with the necessary tools. This results in innovative technologies that contribute to a sustainable and future-proof economy.
