At the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, research directly serves social and ecological challenges. Our projects are practice- and application-orientated, inter- and transdisciplinary and are geared towards the Sustainable Development Goals. By networking science, business, administration and civil society, we develop innovative solutions that advance both local and global transformation processes.
The diversity of our research landscape is reflected in the wide range of current projects: from topics such as sustainable land use, regional development, ecosystem management and digital transformation to socially innovative approaches or the strengthening of international cooperation - HNEE is actively shaping forward-looking developments.
Our research is characterised by strong partnerships, intensive acquisition of third-party funding and a clear practical focus. Together with partners from science, practice and society, we are committed to concrete, effective solutions - for a sustainable, just and liveable future.
