How do I re-register for the next semester and where can I validate my Eberswalde Green Card?
You shall receive an email from the Student Support Service Department respectively in May and December of the current year. The email shall inform you of the deadline for re-registration and of our bank details. Please transfer the semester fee within the deadline. After we receive the fee, you are re-registered and you can validate your Eberswalde Green Card either at the City Campus (building 5, 1st floor) or at the the Forest Campus (building 11, foyer). As soon as you have re-registered, you will receive another email from the Student Support Service Department. The current certificate of enrolment is made available to you in EMMA+. Please note that if the admission requirements are not yet fulfilled, then you will not be re-registered. Non-EU nationals are requested to present their valid residence permit to us after the first semester.
When and how can I apply for a holiday semester?
You can be granted leave by the Student Support Service Department on written request within the re-registration period or in exceptional cases, where good cause can be proven, also within 2 months of the start of the semester. You can find the relevant application form on our website under forms and applications. Please include the corresponding evidence with the application form.
How and where can I be exempted from the semester ticket?

When and how can I de-register?
You can be de-registered from our university at any time. You can find the relevant application form on our website under forms and applications. Please submit the application form with the complete control slip and the Eberswalde Green Card to the Student Support Service Department. You will also find the control slip under forms and applications.
When will I be de-registered after completing my studies?
You will be automatically de-registered at the end of the semester in which you complete your studies. If you would like to be de-registered at an early point in time, please inform us of this in writing.
What is the control slip (Laufzettel)?
With the control slip (Laufzettel), you inform us of your up-to-date contact details after completing your studies or de-registration. You must inform all the departments listed on the control slip that you are leaving the university. For this purpose, you must get a signature from each of the listed departments and then submit the control slip to the Student Support Service department.
Do I have to hand in my Eberswalde Green Card after finishing my course?
In order to avoid misuse, the Eberswalde Green Card must be handed in to the Student Support Service Department after finishing the course.
What happens if I do not attend an examination (written exam, oral discussion, presentation) although I am registered for it?
The lecturer notes your absences in the campus management system. You receive the grade 5.0.
What should I do if I become ill before the examination date?
If you are unable to attend the examination due to illness, the examiner is to be informed and a sick note together with the form “submission of a sick note" is to be submitted immediately to the examination office.

Faculty 2: Please submit the sick note together with the form "submission of a sick note" to the Student Support Service Department. At the department, a new submission date will be calculated and recorded in EMMA. You are obliged to inform your assessors of the new submission date.
For Faculties 1, 3 and 4, please submit the sick note directly to the director’s office of the relevant faculty.
How do I get a certificate of performance using EMMA+?
On the 1 June and 1 December of the current year, we always make an automatically generated certificate of performance available in EMMA+. Outside of these periods, you may request a certificate of performance at any time from the examination office by writing to noten@hnee.de.
How and when do I get my certificate?
After all grades, assessments etc. have
been received by the examination office, the certificate is automatically
issued. As soon as it is ready to be collected, you will receive an email. We
cannot hand over the certificate to you until we have the completed control
slip. If you are unable to personally collect the certificate, you may give a
third person power of attorney or leave a stamped addressed A4 envelope in the
Student Support Service department.
The examination office has a period of 4 weeks to issue the certificate. The 4
weeks begin as soon as we have all grades.
Are facultative modules shown on my certificate at all and if yes how?
Facultative modules are only indicated on the certificate if you expressly request it. However, if facultative modules are shown on the certificate, they do not contribute to the grade.
What happens if I have gained more ECTS during my course than are necessary for the qualification, i.e. I completed too many compulsory elective modules?
