Awareness Conference 2025 - Awareness as a force for change

Awareness can help us as a society to treat each other differently, act more sustainably and actively shape social change. This is the focus of the Awareness Conference 2025, which will take place on 2 December 2025 at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE).

Together with experts and students, the conference is dedicated to the question of what it means to be aware - and how awareness as an attitude influences our thoughts, feelings and actions. The focus is on both personal development and socio-ecological responsibility.

In lectures, panels, workshops and practical dialogues, participants will explore the contribution that mindful and conscious interaction can make to social cohesion and how awareness strengthens transformations - in organisations, in business and in everyday life.

The awareness conference is part of the "Responsible Business Management" specialisation of the Sustainable Economics and Management (NOEM) degree programme and will be led by Cécile Meier and Prof. Dr Uwe Demele. Doris Zölls, Maria Kleimann, Pit Mertineit, Prof Dr Thoralf Buller, Sarah Polzer-Storek and Julien Mai as well as other speakers and workshop leaders will also be taking part.

The programme includes keynote speeches on topics such as images of humanity in the economy and resilience in challenging times

  • Panel discussion: What happens when consciousness meets power?
  • Workshops on Inner Development Goals, mindful transformation and conscious action
  • Barcamp: Common space for questions, exchange and networking
