Importance of digital teaching at HNEE
As a face-to-face university with a core element of digitality, HNE Eberswalde promotes digital and hybrid teaching settings. They increase flexibility in studies and enable the networking of information and data. In line with the University Development Plan (HEP) and the → Teaching Mission Statement, the university therefore supports its members in developing the relevant digital skills. We therefore strive for future-oriented teaching formats that take digital studying, learning and examining into account for students.
Promoting the acquisition of skills in studying and teaching
Our long-term goal is to establish an innovative, skills-orientated and digitally supported teaching and learning culture. This will firmly establish digitality as a core element of our university. One of the key tasks is to continuously adapt the formats of university teaching to socio-political and technological developments, in particular the digital transformation. This will enable us to meet the demands of today's and tomorrow's society. HNEE is obtaining powerful support for this, including from the Innovation in University Teaching Foundation. The transformation process has been driven by the Digital Innovation and Learning Lab (DILeLa) since 2021. The sustainable anchoring of the project results is the top priority at this stage of the project.
Our aim is to train "pioneers of sustainability transformation" - to this end, teachers become learning facilitators who focus on the acquisition of skills in the degree programme & offer digital teaching formats.
