Personalised course content
The programme consists of four semesters. A total of 30 ECTS credits must be completed each semester, comprising compulsory and compulsory-elective modules. Additional academic content, such as specialisation modules, is eligible for credit under the European Credit Transfer System. This results in a total of 120 ECTS credits for the FST Master’s programme.
Modules per term
Forward-looking silvicultural planning and management approaches, planning, IT implementation, logistics and silviculture are all part of your degree programme in forward-looking planning and management approaches.
Students may also choose modules from other forestry-specific Master’s programmes, such as Forest Information Technology, to tailor their specialisation.
Economic and business management approaches to the valuation of forests and their services.
You will learn about interactions between economics, ecology and ecosystems, eco-economic concepts, bioeconomy strategies and other alternative economic approaches.
Students may also choose modules from other forestry-specific Master’s programmes, such as Forest Information Technology, to tailor their specialisation.
Governance and policy-making.
They examine institutions, actors and policy strategies within specific governance systems.
Innovations and potential, transformation strategies and process modelling, as well as innovations and an understanding of socio-technical systems, are the focus of this semester.
