Incentivising Future Forest Ecosystem Services and Incomes in Europe (INTERCEDE)
The EU-funded project Incentivising Future Forest Ecosystem Services and Incomes in Europe (INTERCEDE) targets the potential of market-based approaches to incentivise forest owners to manage their forests in ways that provide valuable benefits and services to society.
LIFE Promoting Forest Payments for Ecosystem Services
The LIFE Promoting Forest Payments for Ecosystem Services project aims to collect, summarise and integrate existing knowledge and expertise at national and EU level on private and public payments for the valuation of ecosystem services (Payments for Ecosystem Services, PES) and similar systems. We are developing appropriate policy and business recommendations regarding the integration and potential of these systems to contribute to the sustainable provision of forest ecosystem services in Europe and to the achievement of the key objectives of the EU Biodiversity Strategy.

Transformation for a Sustainable Future in South-East-Asia - TranSEA
The interdisciplinary competence centre "Transformation for a Sustainable Future in South-East Asia" (TranSEA) aims to promote the further development and expansion of academic partnerships in South-East Asia and to strengthen the networking of the diverse activities and projects in the region. There are currently cooperation projects with partner universities in Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. By bundling the various activities and projects in the region, the aim is to develop planned conceptual projects in a more strategic manner, tap into synergies and establish and further expand interdisciplinary cooperation with partner universities in a targeted manner.
InnoForESt. Smart information, governance & business innovations for sustainable supply and payment mechanism for forest ecosystem services (H2020 EU-Innovation-Action Nr. 763899).
The aim of the InnoForESt project is to investigate innovative ways of providing and financing forest ecosystem services and to contribute to the development of sustainable political and business solutions. In addition, the potential for innovation transfer is being explored and influencing factors and framework conditions for innovation identified. The results contribute to better coordinated, efficient and sustainable management and financing of forest ecosystem services in Europe and help to bridge gaps in the interaction between science, policy and practice.
