Prof. Katja Arzt has set sail from France across the Atlantic to the Caribbean as part of her research semester. She explores people – nature relationships in UNESCO biosphere reserves with a focus on communities' everyday life and perspectives. Food cultures serve as research lens, closely tied to daily realities, regional identity, biodiversity, indigenous knowledge, and socio-economic change.
