Departments
Structure for research and transfer
The Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) organises its academic activities into two departments - one on the city campus and one on the forest campus. They form the organisational foundation for research, teaching and knowledge transfer.
The departments bundle thematically assigned professorships and coordinate the university's specialised development. As central organisational units, they manage research activities, promote interdisciplinary cooperation and contribute to the strategic orientation in science and practice.
Tasks and functions of the departments
One department each on the City Campus and the Forest Campus form the organisational foundation of the university. They combine research and teaching in specialised professorships.
The departments coordinate research activities, actively shape the transfer of knowledge and assume responsibility for personnel development and resource allocation. They contribute significantly to the further development of HNEE's academic profile and ensure its academic quality and visibility.
The development of the department structure took place in a university-wide internal structure process.
