Research and transfer professorships

At the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, research professorships offer an important opportunity to further shape our academic profile. They allow us to strategically strengthen already research-active areas and to establish new research fields of high strategic relevance. Research also indirectly enhances teaching, providing significant added value for students, who benefit from up-to-date course content. Research-based teaching can thereby gain greater prominence within the university.

As part of the federal-state programme to support the recruitment and development of professorial staff at universities of applied sciences (→ FH-Personal), we have established three research professorships with a specific focus on knowledge and technology transfer in the context of sustainable development. The goal is to foster and recognise transfer activities, thereby increasing the appeal of a professorship at HNEE.
