The Exchange Office offers international students and lecturers support with applications, financing and implementation of their exchange stay or studies at our university. We also assist HNEE students with financing and organising their stay abroad at one of our international partner institutions – from initial information to their return.
We advise on:
- Financing through the Erasmus+ funding programme
- Application procedures for Erasmus
- Information on study module selection for international students and teachers
- The Erasmus application process

Step 1
If there is an existing university cooperation agreement between your university and HNEE, you will be nominated by your university.
Freemovers, i.e. all those who are not part of a cooperation agreement, should contact the Exchange Office directly at exchange-hnee(at)hnee.de.
Step 2
You will receive a registration form and various lists, which you must complete and send to the Exchange Office at exchange-hnee(at)hnee.de by the deadline.
Step 3
Once all documents have been submitted, they will be forwarded to the programme coordinator. The coordinator will then work with you to draw up the Learning Agreement (LA).
Step 4
Once the Learning Agreement has been signed by all parties, all your documents will be forwarded to Student Services. After final processing, your admission as an exchange student will be issued and sent to you by email.
Step 5
You are now admitted to HNEE and our Welcome Team will advise you on the next steps. We look forward to meeting you in person.
