New minds, new ideas - university close at hand
Our professors give insights into their research & teaching
With "New minds, new ideas - university up close", HNEE is launching a new, public event format that brings science to where it should have an impact: in the heart of urban society. Under this motto, newly appointed professors at HNEE will introduce themselves, present their research and engage in direct dialogue with citizens, companies and regional partners.
Be part of it!
She will kick off the new series and talk about social entrepreneurship.
HNEE also organises events outside the university.
We are looking for places that make the connection between the university and the city and region visible.
Experience science - openly, directly and in dialogue
The evening events are deliberately held outside the university - at locations that are thematically relevant to the respective professorship and make the connection between the university and the city or region visible. Whether at the city library, the Paul Wunderlich House or with regional practice partners, each evening offers an inspiring setting for dialogue, questions and new perspectives.
After short, interesting impulses from the inviting professors, there is the opportunity for an open discussion about the topic of the evening and beyond.
Together with the Eberswalde University Society (patron), the city of Eberswalde and the district of Barnim, we create places for real encounters - close, inspiring and future-orientated.
Who is the format intended for?
New minds, new ideas is aimed at:
- Citizens from Eberswalde and the region.
- Cooperation and practice partners from business, education and administration.
- Sponsors, scholarship partners and local initiatives.
- University members and affiliates of HNEE.
- Anyone who would like to experience science and sustainability topics at first hand.
What makes the format special?
- Newly appointed professors in focus: first-hand research - understandable, relevant and practical
- Unusual event venues: Science in a café, library, workshop or cultural venue
- Open dialogue: space for questions, discussions and direct encounters
- Regional networking: HNEE and urban society work together to create an inspiring knowledge space
- Sustainable knowledge transfer: research topics become visible where they should have an impact
Diversity of topics - as colourful as HNEE itself
From sustainable construction to sustainable destination management, plant ecology, biosphere reserves, environmental law or social business management: the series shows the entire range of new professorships at HNEE - and thus the future topics of a sustainable region.
