FUTURE NOW! Festival 2025

-
Location: Eberswalde
Event language:  German

What does our tomorrow look like? What do we want? What is the best possible future that we dream of together, that we want to create and live in? Will we all fly to work tomorrow or are we already floating in space? Will we talk to the water creatures and listen to the wind before we start our day? Will we have strawberries with vanilla ice cream every day? Or will carrots become our favourite dish?

With FUTURE NOW! we go out into nature and into the future.

Theatre, dance and movement workshops await you just before the big summer holidays. Let's feel, smell and taste, let's experience our future with all our senses.

We invite you to ZUKUNFT JETZT! - Festival of Performing Arts with Future Lounge, which will take place for the second time from 9 to 12 July 2025 on the grounds of Rofinpark in Eberswalde. The project is being realised by Kanaltheater Eberswalde.

At Zukunft Jetzt!, art, creativity and social commitment merge into a colourful experience. Over four days, artists and ensembles will present inspiring productions, interactive performances and workshops on the grounds of Rofinpark Eberswalde.

Wednesday, 9.7. to Friday, 11.7.25 // school programme in the morning & theatre for all in the afternoon/evening - A varied programme of theatre, dance and workshops awaits children and young people over three days. The Future Lounge is a lively and creative space that serves as an experimental area for innovative future scenarios. Here, children and young people can slip into the role of designers and work together to develop ideas for a sustainable, fair and just future. They will make lemonades from natural ingredients and consider what edible cities and exciting leisure activities could look like in 2042. In the spirit of upcycling, new things are made from old ones. The topic of sustainability will be brought to life via QR codes in an action bound through the Rofinpark.

Adults can look forward to an exciting programme of theatre and an artistic walk through the forest with aerial artist Jana Korb. The Kanaltheater will create ECHO DER ERDE with guests. Numerous animals and plants gather and negotiate the future.
