Remodelling work started in the library: Digital learning landscape with media studio moves in
The HNEE media studio "ProductionHub" of the Digital Innovation and Learning Lab (DILeLa) is moving to the library on the city campus. Since 2022, the studio has been supporting students and lecturers with professional audio and video productions, podcasts and digital learning content.

Services will be paused until the restart in January 2026, partly due to extensive remodelling work in the library prior to moving in.
A low-barrier, soundproofed media room with a green screen, teleprompter, learning glass and editing suite for professional productions is currently being built in the library. In addition, a new lending system for media technology is being introduced that works as easily as borrowing books. At the same time, a learning landscape with a knowledge plaza and mobile displays for student group work is being created.
Interested parties can take a first look at the new library rooms on 18 November 2025 from 1 p.m. During the accompanying DILeLa closing event, the project results will also be handed over to the Vice President for Studies and Teaching, Prof. Dr Uta Steinhardt, and the converted rooms will be inspected with the President of HNEE, Prof. Dr Matthias Barth.
The digital learning landscape is expected to go into HNEE-wide use from January 2026.
