Brandenburg Energy Wood Day

The 22nd Brandenburg Energy Wood Day on 27 August 2026 provides a platform for discussing the latest developments, research findings and practical experience relating to the use of energy wood as a sustainable and regional raw material. Featuring: expertise from the HNEE.

The sustainable management of regional resources is a key prerequisite for a successful energy and climate transition. Scientific findings and dialogue with practitioners play a crucial role in this regard.

We are delighted that the scientific expertise of the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) forms part of this expert dialogue. Two academics from the HNEE – Prof. Dr Peter Spathelf and Dr Cornelia Rißmann – will be contributing to the programme with specialist presentations. Dr Rißmann will speak on agroforestry systems, present initial findings from the “Roots and Roots” project, and highlight the potential of agroforestry systems. Prof. Dr Peter Spathelf will speak on forest conversion.

Registration is open until 25 August 2026. Participation is free of charge.
