Travelling by train
It is easy to get here by train. An hourly Regional Express (RE 3) service runs from Berlin Central Station to Eberswalde station, taking 32 minutes.
Notice regarding ongoing construction work
Due to engineering works, the RE3 does not stop at Berlin Hbf or Berlin Gesundbrunnen stations. The service is being diverted via Berlin Lichtenberg. If travelling from the north of Berlin, we recommend taking the S-Bahn (S2) to Bernau and changing there to the RE3. If travelling from the east or south of Berlin, the journey is shorter on the RE24.
Travelling by car
: From Berlin, you can reach Eberswalde via the A11 or the B2.
The route via motorway exit 12 Finowfurt is easy to find, but is only recommended at night or when there is little traffic. After the exit, turn right towards Eberswalde and follow the road for approx. 10 km through the town.
Alternatively, you can take the route via motorway exit 13 Lanke. After the exit, turn left towards Lanke/Biesenthal and follow the road until you reach a T-junction in Biesenthal. Here, turn left onto the B 2 towards Eberswalde. You will be entering Eberswalde from the direction of Bernau/Berlin.
