This year, the Global Change Management (GCM) master’s program at HNEE is celebrating a special anniversary: 20 years of GCM.
Since its founding in 2006, GCM has brought together students and researchers from diverse backgrounds to examine the complex interactions between ecological, social, and economic changes and to develop practical solutions for a more sustainable future. To mark the anniversary, HNEE invites current and former students, colleagues, partners, and anyone interested in GCM and global change processes to an anniversary celebration on the Waldcampus on October 2, 2026.
The event will combine reflections on the history of the program with opportunities for exchange and celebration. It will provide a space to look back on two decades of GCM, share experiences and perspectives, and discuss the future of global change management and sustainability education.
