The joint doctoral and research colloquium of the four Universities of Applied Sciences in Brandenburg invites participants to engage in academic exchange on ongoing research and doctoral projects at the universities. In addition, challenges, tips, and practical advice related to the doctoral journey will be shared and discussed with the participants. The colloquium is open to all interested researchers. It was launched in the summer semester of 2025 and will now continue as a regular event. The sessions take place online approximately every four weeks during the lecture period.
On April 23, Anna Lehmann, a doctoral researcher at the Fachhochschule Potsdam, will present her doctoral project.
Title: It´s FAIR, but generic?! The art of scientific data aggregation
Research data disappear in discipline-specific infrastructures – unseen and therefor unused. My doctorate tackles this by developing an Information Science method to turn inconsistent FAIR-assessment scores into interdisciplinary data pools.
Key takeaways:
- What FAIR means and why it is operationalized disciplinary
- How FAIR assessment works and what tools are good for
- From silos to usable data aggregations
Extras: Practical hacks for publication, time and project management
25 min talk + 25 min discussion – Data chaos → interdisciplinary solutions!
