HNEE offers Further Education in the field of wood preservation

Registrations are possible until 07 January 2022.

Recognising symptoms, using wood preservation agents correctly and making recommendations for remediation - this is what participants in the three-week "Certificate of Expertise in Wood Preservation in Construction" course, which takes place in February 2022, will learn. "The course is aimed at professionals who want in-depth and nationally recognised additional training," says Prof. Dr Silke Lautner, HNEE lecturer and course director. It is aimed at all those who work in the refurbishment of old buildings and want to expand their expertise as a competent employee in construction and refurbishment companies, as an architect or site manager in the preparation and control of professional execution.

The programme is packed with topics ranging from the remediation of fungus and insect damage to inspection procedures and building regulations. "During a field trip, building materials will also be identified and practical problems investigated," says Silke Lautner. Nine specialist speakers are part of the programme, which ends with an expert examination* on the last day of the course.

A total of 23 places are available for the course, which takes place from 7 February to 25 February 2022 at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, Alfred-Möller-Str. 1, 16225 Eberswalde. The fees amount to 1350 euros plus 230 euros examination fee (excl. VAT) for external participants. Registrations are still possible until 07 January 2022. The course is recognised as educational leave in the state of Brandenburg. Employees can take up to ten working days off work from their employer.
*Experts who have successfully completed this course and the examination have the right to offer themselves as competent and expert in accordance with VOB/A, § 8.3(1) and DIN 68 800-4 and to be requested to do so.
