On 6 July 2026, BRI members, associate members and other members of the BRI community gathered for the first BRI General Assembly of the year.

The agenda included updates on the BRI’s recent activities, the upcoming elections and plans for the second half of the year. Particular emphasis was placed on the preparation of joint research project proposals.

The BRI General Assembly provides a common forum for discussion on the strategic development of the BRI, its operational activities and cooperation within the network. It enables members to make joint decisions and to exchange views on conceptual issues relating to biosphere reserves.
