The Commons of the BRI is an internal meeting held twice a year to discuss the shared use and management of office spaces, materials and equipment, with the aim of fostering a positive, sustainable and collaborative working environment.

The meetings provide an opportunity for BRI team members to exchange ideas, address practical organisational matters and jointly identify ways to improve everyday operations at the institute. Topics include the sustainable use of resources, the organisation of shared spaces, the coordination of office responsibilities and the planning of internal events and seminars.

Beyond these practical aspects, the Commons of the BRI also offers space to strengthen communication, identify synergies between projects and encourage cooperation across the team. Through open discussions and informal exchanges over lunch, the meetings contribute to building a sense of community, shared responsibility and fostering a supportive and inclusive working environment.
