Biosphere Learning Laboratory Lake Bosomtwe (BL3B)

The aim of the project is to establish a strong professional network of researchers and lecturers from three Ghanaian universities and Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, centred on the Lake Bosomtwe Biosphere Reserve, one of three UNESCO biosphere reserves in Ghana. The project also aims to promote relevant, practice-oriented teaching and research by the participating institutions in the area.

This long-term partnership between the research institutions is intended to support the management of the biosphere reserve. It will also promote the sustainable development of the biosphere reserve and its natural resources, while improving the quality of life of all individuals and communities.

The research findings generated jointly by the participating institutions are therefore of great interest to the scientific community, public institutions and the local population, as they contribute to the conservation of the sensitive ecosystem of the Lake Bosomtwe Biosphere Reserve.
