The focus of the LOOPING – Scientific Approaches and Tools for Circular Economy Innovations project is industrial basic research into cycling loops.

The project comprises three key components:

  1. The materials and technology component focuses on testing creative recycling and upcycling solutions across different material categories, such as textiles, furniture and technical equipment.
  2. The conceptual component involves developing innovative cycling business areas, including establishing a networking structure connecting relevant stakeholders.
  3. The education-related component comprises specific Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) measures, including the development of a tactile and virtual materials library.
