Awareness Conference 2025: Living consciously, managing mindfully and leading sustainably

With a very well-attended one-day conference entitled "Awareness - Awareness as a Force for Change" on 2 December 2025, the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) sent out a strong signal for the connection between awareness issues, sustainable business and responsible corporate management. 70 external guests, students from several degree programmes and university staff took part and ensured an interdisciplinary exchange and a lively atmosphere.

The focus was on the question of how economic issues, individual lifestyles and awareness can be linked. The conference explicitly invited participants to think outside the box and adopt new perspectives beyond traditional management logic.

The programme offered presentations with challenging content: Keynotes and a panel round highlighted different practical approaches from companies that combine conscious leadership with a clear claim to awareness. The contributions ranged from the spiritual to economic contexts and concrete examples of mindful corporate management. This enabled a bridge to be built between theoretical discourse, value-based reflection and the practice of sustainable business.

In the afternoon, participants delved deeper into key topics of the conference in interactive workshops. The spectrum ranged from the Inner Development Goals, a conscious focus on the other person and mindfulness as the basis for social transformation - with meditation and reflection-based practical exercises.

A booklet was also published for the conference, which summarises key content and makes the topics of the conference visible beyond the day of the event.

The plan is now to organise the awareness conference on an annual basis.
