GENOTRAFO – Cooperatives as key players in socio-ecological transformation
The project ‘Cooperatives as key players in socio-ecological transformation’ (GENOTRAFO) focuses on the socio-ecological potential of cooperatives, especially in rural areas where many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face the challenge of finding suitable employees and successors. If, for example, the village bakery or country inn cannot find a successor, employees could continue to run it as a cooperative, as a team rather than a single person.
Ensuring start-ups and successions is essential for stabilising economic structures in peripheral regions and preserving jobs. This is precisely where GENOTRAFO comes in, working closely with stakeholders from business, research and civil society. Cooperative models for start-ups and business successions are being scientifically investigated and practical solutions developed together with cooperation partners.
TRANSECTS: The TRANSdisciplinary Education Collaboration for Transformations in Sustainability
The aim of the TRANSECTS project: The TRANSdisciplinary Education Collaboration for Transformations in Sustainability is to offer innovative research and training experiences in order to equip staff with transdisciplinary research skills and professional abilities. In addition, we create international experiential learning opportunities for students that promote critical, relational and reflective thinking among participants, establish new forms of collaborative and comparative research, and build international and intercultural skills and professional networks.
Inno4Ufo – Innovative tools for business succession
Project to develop co-creative support services to increase the likelihood of successful business succession. Support for companies in the business succession process. Funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
