The EIP project Zwischenfruchtbeweidung (Catch Crop Grazing) is developing practical methods for integrating cattle grazing into the use of catch crops. The aim is to sustainably improve soil fertility and forage supply in drought-prone Brandenburg. Working closely with six agricultural enterprises, the project investigates a range of catch crop mixtures and their effects on forage quality, soil health, and animal performance. In addition, digital tools for livestock monitoring are being tested.
