Higher education institutions have an important role to play in the success of the socio-ecological transformation. However, they often face limitations when it comes to establishing educational formats for social innovation and social entrepreneurship. Through the SiSeE collaborative project, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), a network of higher education institutions was established in partnership with the University of Bayreuth and Social Entrepreneurship Netzwerk Deutschland (SEND) e.V. The network promotes exchange between higher education institutions and a range of stakeholders, contributes to the collaborative development of educational formats and supports efforts to overcome institutional barriers.

For a successful socio-ecological transformation, we need teaching formats that make a real difference in social innovation and social entrepreneurship education.
