The aim of the project is to ecologically characterise forest and forestry types on peatlands and link these characteristics with emissions and water balance data. The findings will ultimately be used to draw conclusions for good forestry practice and to communicate examples of best practice.

The forest ecosystem is so multifaceted, yet every component has its specific place and significance, and all are interconnected in the most diverse ways, only some of which we can perceive.
