Nachhaltige Funktionsintegration in Verbundwerkstoffe - NaFuVer

Duration:

06/2024 - 06/2028

Project volume:

342.578 EURO

Competence field:

Wood modification, Timber construction

Funding partner:

Federal funding, EU funding

The project focuses on the sustainable integration of sensors into composite materials in order to make processes more efficient and reliable. Piezoactive polymers such as PVDF are currently used successfully as pressure sensors; however, they are harmful to the environment and potentially harmful to human health. The project aims to develop sustainable sensors from the natural material chitin and integrate them into composite materials.

Project leader:

June 2024 to September 2025 Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alexander Pfriem

10/2025 to 06/2028 Prof. Dr Tobias Cremer
