Forest soils play a key role in the sustainable management and development of forests. Collecting and updating soil data is labour-intensive and subject to uncertainties. The aim of the project is to (partially) automate the collection and description of forest soil properties using innovative technical solutions. This is intended to make forest environmental monitoring and site mapping more efficient and reliable.

Funding partner

Bundesministerium für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft Fachagentur nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V.

Partnerships

The joint project will promote digitalisation and sustainable development in and for the region in the future.
